2025 Winter Campout

The Mighty Croix Nation ventured north to YMCA Camp MacLean in Burlington, WI, for a memorable Valentine’s Day weekend winter campout from February 14-16. The weekend greeted us with crisp winter air, abundant snow, and ideal conditions for our winter activities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Medicine Man Tommy Cobbler for ensuring the Great Spirit watched over us, providing just the right weather for all our adventures.

Princesses and Dads took part in a variety of winter-themed activities, including sledding and a thrilling toboggan run. Participants showcased their creativity by crafting incredible winter art, such as an arctic fox and a shark.

The Winter Olympics injected a spirit of competition into the Croix Nation. Events featured a sledding relay race, a slingshot stuffy catch, and a cheesepuff toss on the chef's head, among many others.

Saturday night concluded with the Aimes Walk to our council fire, where everyone gathered around the flames. After the Aims Walk everyone warmed up in the Lodge with soft pretzels and cheese while enjoying a captivating performance by a magician.

We extend a warm welcome to our newest members and congratulations to those who earned the honor of Haylushka at this campout. Special thanks go out to the Longhouse Officers and Chefs for planning a remarkable experience for Dads and Daughters.

We’re already looking forward to the spring campout—see you all June 20-22 for our Spring Tent Out at Riverbend!
